Begirari IV stands seven point one meters tall on the Abandoibarra promenade as a tower-like structure of dark steel. Created in nineteen ninety-seven by the Basque artist Eduardo Chillida, the sculpture weighs forty-nine tons and was installed at this riverside location in two thousand three. Its heavy, weathered form rises above the walkway, featuring a hollowed-out space at the top that invites the viewer to look through its mass toward the city and the estuary.
