McHughs Bar & Restaurant

McHughs Bar and Restaurant is defined by its exterior of Georgian brickwork, standing at number twenty-nine Queens Square as the oldest surviving building in Belfast. Constructed between seventeen-ten and seventeen-eleven, the structure predates the rapid industrialization that transformed the city throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It has survived the decline of the local docks, the blitz of nineteen forty-one, and decades of civil unrest.
