Jaffe Memorial Fountain

The Jaffe Memorial Fountain stands out as a vibrant, gilded cast-iron structure painted in vivid yellow and white. It sits near the Victoria Street entrance to the Victoria Square shopping centre, serving as a monument to the city’s industrial past. The fountain was originally erected in eighteen seventy-four by Sir Otto Jaffe to honor his father, Daniel Joseph Jaffe, a German merchant who settled in Belfast in eighteen fifty to establish a linen export business.
