The Clutha (#8 Glasgow Mural Trail)

other

The Clutha bar is marked by a series of colorful, photorealistic murals painted across its exterior walls, which depict the diverse musicians and cultural figures who frequented the venue over the decades. A large-scale portrait of architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh also looms over the pub's garden, designed by artist Rogue-one to commemorate his one hundred fiftieth anniversary. This building on Clyde Street has held a publican license since eighteen nineteen, drawing its name from the ancient Gaelic term for the River Clyde.
