Mountain Lake Park

Mountain Lake Park is a fourteen-acre municipal space in the Richmond District that features one of the few remaining natural freshwater lakes in San Francisco. The park is distinguished by the four-acre lake sitting at its northern edge, which serves as the only natural body of water within the entire Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Engineer William Hammond Hall, who also designed Golden Gate Park, laid out this area in eighteen seventy-five.
