Mountain Lake Park sits at the edge of the Presidio and the Richmond District, centered around one of the few remaining natural freshwater lakes in San Francisco. A four-acre pond serves as the heart of this fourteen-acre green space, which features meadows, tennis courts, and walking paths. The land was formally designated as a park in eighteen seventy-four, with a layout originally designed by engineer William Hammond Hall.
