Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park sits on the northwestern corner of the San Francisco peninsula, characterized by sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean. The land was once the site of the Golden Gate Cemetery, which held the remains of nearly ten thousand people, including many Chinese, Italian, and Japanese residents of the city. By nineteen hundred and one, the city banned further burials, and officials eventually ordered the cemetery to be cleared.
