Elephant Room

The Elephant Room is identified by a small neon sign flickering at sidewalk level, marking the entrance to a narrow stairwell that descends into the basement of the Swift Building. This two-story structure on Congress Avenue dates to the late nineteenth century and sits as an unassuming piece of history amidst the city's modern skyscrapers. Inside, the club features a low ceiling, exposed brick walls, and a herringbone brick floor that houses a small stage for live jazz performances every night of the year.
