Antone's Nightclub

Antone's Nightclub occupies a stretch of East Fifth Street, identified by the familiar blue awning and the storefront sign that welcomes visitors to the Home of the Blues. Since Clifford Antone opened the original location on Sixth Street on July fifteen, nineteen seventy-five, this venue has functioned as a primary stage for blues music in Austin. Clifford Antone founded the club because he feared the blues genre was fading and wanted to provide a space where he and others could hear legends play in person.
