MacArthur Museum Brisbane

The MacArthur Museum is located on the eighth floor of the MacArthur Chambers, a heritage-listed building that sits at two hundred one Edward Street. You can identify the building by the emblematic marble statuary carved by Fred Gowan above the main entrance, which depicts the motto of the Australian Mutual Provident Society. Between nineteen forty-two and nineteen forty-four, this building served as the headquarters for the Allied forces in the South West Pacific.
