Diamantina House, situated on Wickham Terrace in Spring Hill, is a brick complex that once operated as the Lady Bowen Hospital. Architect John H. Buckeridge designed the buildings, which were constructed between eighteen eighty-nine and eighteen ninety by local builder John Quinn. The site served as a maternity facility where women stayed to give birth and recover, replacing a smaller hospital that had been located on Ann Street.
