Streets Beach is distinguished by a sprawling blue lagoon and white sandy shores that sit in stark contrast to the surrounding city skyline. This is Australia’s only inner-city, man-made beach, featuring a swimming area that holds enough chlorinated freshwater to fill five Olympic swimming pools. The lagoon is set within the South Bank Parklands, directly opposite the central business district on the southern banks of the Brisbane River.
