The Wheel of Brisbane stands sixty meters high at the northern entrance to the South Bank Parklands. This observation wheel features forty-two enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas that rotate to provide panoramic views of the city skyline and the Brisbane River. While it appears as a permanent fixture of the landscape, the structure is a transportable observation wheel designed by Dutch engineer Ronald Bussink.
