The King Street Arts Centre is a narrow, three-story brick building distinguished by its decorative parapet and pilasters that run down its front as vertical piers. Located on Murray Street, this structure began its life in the early twentieth century as a warehouse and commercial office. Over the decades, it served various occupants, from the Patch Theatre Group to the Australian Red Cross, which operated a blood donor center here for many years.
