Mulato Gil de Castro Square

Plaza Mulato Gil de Castro is a small, quiet urban square tucked away in the Barrio Lastarria neighborhood. You can identify the site by the turn-of-the-century houses surrounding it and its role as a courtyard for art galleries and museums, including the Museo de Artes Visuales. The plaza was built in nineteen eighty-one, specifically to preserve the historical facades of the old neighborhood buildings.
