September 1982 Paris car bombing

On the afternoon of September seventeen, nineteen eighty-two, a car bomb detonated near the Lycée Carnot on Rue Cardinet. The vehicle, a Peugeot five hundred four, belonged to an Israeli diplomat who was parked just around the corner from an annex of the Israeli Embassy responsible for military purchasing. When the diplomat started the engine at three twenty-five in the afternoon, the blast lifted the car and shattered windows in classrooms across the street.
