The Fontaine de la Mairie, or Town Hall Fountain, anchors the center of the square in front of the Aix-en-Provence Hôtel de Ville. It is identifiable by its tall classical column of granite, which supports a Corinthian marble capital and a sphere of Calissanne stone at the very top.
