Café Gundel

Café Gundel occupies a building with a history of baking that stretches back to seventeen sixty-six, when the right to bake was first officially granted to the site. Located near the Karlsplatz, the shop has been under the care of the Gundel family since eighteen ninety-six. While the storefront appears compact from the street, the interior opens into a larger hall that has served as a meeting place for local society for generations.
