Heidelberger Marstall

The Heidelberger Marstall is defined by its long, formidable sandstone walls stretching one hundred and thirty-five meters along the Neckar River. Built around fifteen-ten under Prince Elector Ludwig the Fifth, this structure served as a heavily fortified armory. Two original towers remain at the corners of the complex, still featuring the narrow embrasures that once allowed guards to fend off attackers from the riverbank.
