Altes Rathaus

The Altes Rathaus in Nuremberg is recognized by its Renaissance-style façade, which features three grand portals adorned with elaborate sculptures. This building complex serves as the city’s historical seat of government, with roots stretching back to the early fourteenth century. The oldest section, the Great Ceremonial Hall, was completed between thirteen thirty-two and thirteen forty. At that time, its vast dimensions made it the largest secular hall north of the Alps.
