St. Sebald is the oldest parish church in Nuremberg, recognizable by its two towering Gothic spires and a structural silhouette that blends a Romanesque core with an expansive fourteenth-century choir. Construction on the original basilica began in the twelve-thirties and concluded by twelve-seventy-five, later evolving as the city’s patrician families commissioned grander additions.
