Narrenschiffbrunnen

A multi-figure bronze sculpture of a writhing, tormented cluster of people crammed into a tiny boat sits on a bowled mound of cobblestones near the southeast entrance to the Hauptmarkt. Created by the sculptor Jürgen Weber, the Narrenschiffbrunnen, or Ship of Fools Fountain, depicts a vessel packed with distorted figures meant to represent humanity’s own destructive follies.
