Ehekarussell

The Ehekarussell, or Marriage Carousel, is a large, circular fountain featuring bronze figures that rise from a marble base near the Weißer Turm. Designed by sculptor Jürgen Weber and inaugurated in nineteen eighty-five, it was commissioned to hide a ventilation shaft for the city’s underground railway system. If you stand near the fountain, you may hear the faint sound of trains passing beneath your feet.
