Pusteblumenbrunnen Prager Straße

The Pusteblumenbrunnen—or Dandelion Fountain—is defined by its cluster of metal spheres, each constructed from segments of stainless steel that mimic the shape of a dandelion head. Completed in September nineteen seventy, the fountain was designed by sculptor Leoni Wirth, metalworker Karl Bergmann, and landscape architect Josef Pietsch. At its debut, the installation consisted of five of these fountain sculptures, which served as a landmark for the Prager Straße during the East German era.
