The Holy Church of the Holy Apostles stands out for the intricate patterns of its exterior brickwork and the five domes that crown its roof. Built in the fourteenth century, this structure was once the central church, or katholikon, of a monastery. It is tucked into a small square near the western medieval walls of Thessaloniki, surrounded by modern apartment buildings.
