Jewish Martyrs Square

Jewish Martyrs Square in the Old Town of Rhodes is marked by a central, black marble Holocaust memorial topped with a Star of David. This open space sits within the historic Jewish quarter, known as La Juderia, where for centuries a thriving Sephardic community lived, worked, and gathered. The square itself occupies a site where residential homes once stood before being destroyed by bombing during the Second World War.
