The Shree Durga Mata Mandir is distinguished by its intense, vibrant red color, which blankets the exterior and symbolizes the energy of the goddess. Constructed in the eighteenth century by Rani Bhabani of Natore, the temple follows the North Indian Nagara style of architecture, defined by its square shape and a series of conjoined, multi-tiered spires known as shikharas. It sits directly beside a large rectangular pond called the Durga Kund, which features stone steps on all four sides.
