Maeda Tosanokami-ke Shiryokan Museum

The Maeda Tosanokami-ke Shiryokan Museum sits at the entrance of the Nagamachi samurai district, identified by a massive gate that distinguishes the building from the surrounding streets. This two-story museum focuses on the life and legacy of Maeda Toshimasa, the second son of the founder of the Kaga Domain. Toshimasa once ruled over the Noto region, but after the Battle of Sekigahara in sixteen hundred, he lost his land and eventually moved to Kyoto to pursue a life of art and culture.
