Bredsgården stands out among the colorful wooden rows of the Bryggen wharf as the best-preserved tenement in the entire complex. While most of the surrounding buildings have been reconstructed following frequent fires, this structure retains a historic layout that provides a clear impression of a medieval trade estate. Its wide frontage stretches twenty-two meters and encompasses three distinct seaside trading houses where merchants once lived, worked, and kept their offices.
