Fjellveien Stasjon sits on the steep slope of Mount Fløyen, one hundred and fourteen meters above sea level. It is a mid-way stop for the Fløibanen funicular, the cable railway that has carried passengers between the city center and the mountain plateau since nineteen eighteen. The station serves as a direct point of access to the Fjellveien path, a famous gravel road that wraps around the mountainside.
