Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970

The Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970 is defined by three forty-two-meter-tall steel crosses rising above Solidarity Square. Each cross weighs thirty-six tons and carries a two-ton anchor, a design chosen by artists Bogdan Pietruszka, Wiesław Szyślak, Wojciech Mokwiński, and Jacek Krenz to mark the site near the former Lenin Shipyard’s Gate Number Two.
