Smallcombe Cemetery

historic

Smallcombe Cemetery sits in a valley between Widcombe and Bathwick Hills, defined by its two distinct, side-by-side sections. The eastern portion is the historic St Mary’s Churchyard, which opened for burials in eighteen fifty-six, while the western side is the nonconformist Smallcombe Vale cemetery, established in eighteen sixty-one. A line of stones marks the boundary between these two grounds, which are collectively known as the Smallcombe Garden Cemetery.
