National Trust - Bath Assembly Rooms

The Bath Assembly Rooms are identified by their U-shaped structure of Bath stone and their status as the largest Georgian interior in the city. Completed in seventeen seventy-one to designs by John Wood the Younger, they were once known as the New or Upper Rooms. These halls were built to serve as a hub for fashionable society, hosting balls, concerts, and gambling for visitors and residents alike.
