Margaret's Buildings

Margaret's Buildings is a narrow, pedestrian-only street tucked between the Royal Crescent and the Circus. You can identify this passage by the limestone ashlar townhouses lining both sides of the path, many of which retain their historic shopfronts. Built around seventeen sixty-nine by the architect John Wood the Younger, the street was originally intended as a service route to provide goods and supplies to the wealthy residents living in the surrounding grand terraces.
