Bath Deep Lock (8/9)

Bath Deep Lock, identified as number eight and nine on the Kennet and Avon Canal, is marked by a massive stone chamber that drops nineteen feet and five inches. It holds the status of Britain's second-deepest canal lock. You can pick it out by the way it interrupts the series of smaller locks climbing through the Widcombe district, occupying a space where two original, shallower locks were merged into one.
