Lubben Plaza

Lubben Plaza occupies a quiet stretch of Market Street between Young and Wood Streets, defined by two separate green spaces bordered by low granite walls and rows of red oak trees. Dedicated in nineteen eighty-seven, the one-acre park was commissioned to mark the centennial of The Dallas Morning News. It takes its name from John F. Lubben and his son, Joseph A. Lubben, who served as directors and senior executives at the newspaper and its parent company, the A. H. Belo Corporation, for a combined one hundred and one years.
