The Academy Garden sits directly behind the New Palace in Stuttgart. It is easily recognized by the Lion Fountain, known as the Löwenbrunnen, which stands near the center of the grounds. Designed by court architect Nicolas von Thouret for King Friedrich of Württemberg, the fountain features a series of stone lions.
