Weißgerbergasse is a narrow, winding street defined by a dense collection of twenty-two historic half-timbered houses. These buildings, with their steep gables and colorful facades, stand out as one of the few areas in Nuremberg that largely survived the air raids of the Second World War. While much of the city center was destroyed, these houses remained, preserving a view of the medieval Old Town that disappeared elsewhere.
