The International Music Center Ashram is tucked away in the dense maze of backstreets off Bangali Tola, marked by a small, modest sign that is easily missed by passersby. Since nineteen seventy-five, this center has operated as a place for both instruction and performance, drawing students and listeners from around the world to study traditional Indian instruments like the sitar, tabla, and bansuri.
