Highland Gate

The Highland Gate is a massive, stone-clad structure that marks the beginning of the historic Royal Route through Gdańsk. Built between fifteen seventy-four and fifteen seventy-five by Hans Kramer, it served as the primary entrance to the city and a key element of its defensive fortifications. The exterior is defined by its stone facade, which features three Latin inscriptions and the coats of arms of Poland, Gdańsk, and Royal Prussia at the top.
