Wybrzeze Theatre

The Wybrzeże Theatre is defined by its large, transparent glass façade, which allows you to see directly into its foyer from the street. This modernist structure, designed by Lech Kadłubowski and Daniel Olędzki in the nineteen sixties, occupies a site with a much older theatrical tradition. For centuries, this area near the Coal Market served as the city’s hub for performance, beginning with a wooden theater built in sixteen hundred that observers once compared to a simple stable.
