Green Park Station is defined by a vast, single-span wrought iron arch structure that houses a vaulted glass roof. Opened in eighteen seventy as the terminus for the Midland Railway's Mangotsfield and Bath Branch Line, the station was originally known as Bath Queen Square. Its architect, John Holloway Sanders, designed the building in an elegant style intended to harmonize with the surrounding Georgian architecture of the city.
