Square Alfred Capus

The Square Alfred Capus is a compact green space recognizable by the zigzagging branches of a Provence hackberry tree, known scientifically as Celtis australis, that grows within its boundaries. Situated along the boulevard Suchet in the sixteenth arrondissement, this garden occupies a small portion of the land once held by the sixty-second bastion of the Thiers Wall, the defensive fortification that encircled Paris until the early twentieth century.
