Cleveland House is a refined Georgian building that sits directly above the Kennet and Avon Canal. You can identify it by its position straddling the canal tunnel, a feature that distinguishes it from other structures in the area. Built between eighteen seventeen and eighteen twenty by the architect John Pinch the Elder, the house served as the official headquarters for the Kennet and Avon Canal Company until eighteen sixty-four.
