Dean’s Park is a quiet green space positioned directly along the northern wall of York Minster. Its most distinct feature is a series of weathered stone archways standing near the edge of the lawn. These seven arches date back to the twelfth century and once formed part of a cloister or walkway for the Archbishop’s Palace, which stood on this site for over three hundred years.
