The Steps Bar

The Steps Bar on Glassford Street is identifiable by its exterior cladding of vitrolite paneling and etched glass windows, set into the ground floor of an eighteenth-century building. Refitted in nineteen thirty-eight, this interior is a rare example of Art Deco design in Glasgow, retaining its original veneer-paneled walls, walnut gantry, and bar counter. The name of the pub comes from the two steps at the entrance.
